This is certainly a very strange year. In January I had a freak accident and fractured my tibial plateau, which resulted in surgery and 7 days in hospital. I then lost Jake, my horse of a lifetime, in February and now lock down due to the Corona Virus
Having a lot of time on my hands, I decided to invest in myself and am currently studying to become a Master NLP coach with Tracey Cole.
As I write this, I should be surrounded by many of you at Brandy House Farm TREC camp, it feels very strange to be sat at home and planning events for 2021. New dates for 2021 have been booked for Dudgeley Farm and Brandy House Farm TREC Camps and are on the website.
I'm also planning what I will do when lockdown is over. It's important for me to have thing's planned for the future, avd even more important right now.
I see lockdown as a safe place to be so that I can do the things I want to do later.
What are you looking forward to doing when lockdown is over?
My online virtual map rooms have been outstandingly successful and I will continue to run them until "normal" resumes, whatever the new normal becomes.
I'm also opening up free membership to the Learning Zone on www.yourhorseisyourmirror.com For the next month.
Head over to the website, select members on the menu bar and create your account. You must include your full name as well as email address.
Once your submission is approved you will be notified and can access the learning zone.
Dates for your diary:
6 May - Webinar with Helen Wain, biomechanics and trec coach
20 May - Virtual Map Room Webinar. L1 and L2 routes with grids and bearings options for the more adventurous
Sign up for both on the website.
Well done to all the recipients of my fabulous TRAC Winter Series rosettes
Sally Elliot was the lucky winner of the Map Case prize draw earlier in April. Watch out for the next draw in May. Sign up for our newsletter to be sure to hear about it
I do believe we will come out of this period much stronger and I hope we hold on to the community spirit we have developed.
