TREC Training with Helen Wain, one of the best TREC trainers in the UK.

Training

Intense  PTV & MA training sessions in the large 60 x 40 outdoor sand arena and surrounding field, subject to weather & ground conditions

You will also be able to book individual private sessions directly with trainer in any spare time.

All levels will be catered for, including newcomers 

Friday - Arrive after 4pm to settle in and take the opportunity to explore the surrounding area on horseback (maps provided)

Saturday - Ridden training sessions (PTV & MA) in small groups (4-6), minimum 4 hours over the weekend, plus Map & POR training & exercises, also with plenty of time to explore the various routes you can copy from route portfolio.

Sunday - Ridden training sessions (PTV & MA) in small groups (4-6), minimum 4 hours over the weekend, plus Map & POR training & exercises, also with plenty of time to explore the various routes you can copy from route portfolio. 

Stay Sunday night and depart Monday morning, maybe after a hack out over the beautiful shropshire hills

Accommodation

There are 6 rooms in the farmhouse, 2 en suite and multiple shared bathrooms, all of which are of a high modern standard.

limited places camping in wagons, trailers or tents will include use of a shower room, toilet, kitchen, dining room & lounge in the farmhouse.

Lunch will be on a DIY basis so you need to bring your own or buy it from the nearby local shops as required (there is a large Coop store in Church Stretton). There is a large fridge and freezer on site for shared use.

Evening meals will be provided consisting of a hot main course and pudding. (Vegetarian option available).

Tea and coffee will be provided throughout your stay.

Horse Accommodation

Corralling will be in fenced fields on site. You will be required  to bring your own electric fencing to make up corals. 

A limited amount of indoor stabling may be available for a supplement. 

Nearby Church Stretton is a picturesque market town that has been a popular visitor destination since Edwardian times. The town centre is full of traditional shops to tempt you - from tea rooms to a three-storey antiques emporium should you wish to venture out.

Camp in wagon or tent, 2 course eve meals, ridden group sessions with trainers, map & POR (orienteering) routes & exercises -£350

(£90 deposit to secure your place then balance by 27 June (option to pay by instalments))

Tack and dress informal but safe. Riders must wear hats of PAS015 or EN1384 or superior standard. All hats must have a properly fitted and fastened chinstrap which must be worn at all times when mounted. Body protectors are recommended. Neither the organisers nor the landowners can accept responsibility for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to any horse, other animal, rider, spectator or any other person or property. Attendees must have public liability insurance. The organisers reserve the right to cancel or refuse any entry.
